Domain Alerts (“Domain Alerts,” “we,” “us”) helps you track domain expirations and receive alerts before renewal deadlines. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1) Information We Collect

  • Account information: email address and authentication identifiers used to sign in.
  • Domain information: domain names you add and related metadata (e.g., expiration date, registrar, nameservers, status) when available.
  • Alert preferences: alert schedules and notification settings you configure.
  • Usage & diagnostics: basic logs and events needed to operate, secure, and improve the service (e.g., error logs, performance metrics).
  • Billing information: subscription status and plan details from Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.

2) How We Use Information

  • To provide domain monitoring, dashboards, and renewal alerts.
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce plan limits.
  • To process subscriptions, manage billing, and provide customer support.
  • To improve reliability, performance, and user experience.

3) Data Sources (WHOIS)

Domain monitoring may rely on WHOIS and other third-party data sources. WHOIS records can be incomplete, delayed, or restricted by registrars and privacy services. We cannot guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of third-party data.

4) Sharing & Service Providers

We share information only as needed to run Domain Alerts. Examples include:

  • Infrastructure & database: providers used for hosting, authentication, and data storage (e.g., Supabase).
  • Payments: Stripe for subscription processing and billing status.
  • Notifications: email/SMS providers for delivering alerts (if enabled).
  • Domain data providers: WHOIS services used to fetch domain information.

We do not sell your personal information.

5) Your Choices

  • Manage domains: you can add or remove domains from your dashboard.
  • Cancel subscription: you can cancel anytime in your account settings; access continues until the end of your billing period.
  • Delete account: contact us to request account deletion (see “Contact”).

6) Data Retention

We retain information as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. If you request account deletion, we’ll delete or anonymize your data unless we are required to retain certain records.

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Children’s Privacy

Domain Alerts is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will post an updated version with a new “Last updated” date.

Reminder: You are responsible for renewing your domains. Domain Alerts provides monitoring and notifications, but delivery can be affected by third-party outages, spam filters, or WHOIS limitations.
